Performance

The 2016 Mercedes-Benz S-Class is a full-sized sedan, and it offers full-sized performance. The 2016 line is available with four engine configurations. The S550 is equipped with a 449-horsepower, 4.7L biturbo V8 that delivers an estimated 17/26 MPG. The 4.7L engine is available with RWD or 4MATIC AWD transmissions. The S600, on the other hand, gets a power boost from its 523-horsepower 6.0L biturbo V12. The S600 can hit 0-60 MPH in 4.5 seconds. Finally, both the AMG S63 and AMG S65 receive handcrafted, hand-tuned engines: A 5.5L biturbo V8 (S63) or a 6.0L biturbo V12 (S65).
